Well, the 57 Days of Summer 2013 did not go as planned but the summer has been good, creatively, anyway-just as planned. I've been working on a huge job spanning most of these days and have still been able to interject additional pieces of work into my spare time as well.
The two-part project will be unveiled on August 1st, 2013. I can hardly wait! Today, I've enjoyed a peaceful, rainy day just relaxing and I did manage to get in some paper painting! Excited about what these papers will be applied to... Feeling like Monet and Matisse with this failing eyesight: Currently working on a painting during which, I refuse to put on my glasses. I find that painting is easier, and probably more precise, when I don't have to focus on the details. I'm forced to focus on shapes, value and proportion. An artist has to create, no matter the obstacles-
There's always a silver lining! It's been extremely hard keeping up with the days because I'm working on a huge project that is probably going to use up most of those 57 days. I can say that the first three murals are done and I'm about to begin part 2 of the project. The great reveal is August 1st.
