My first batch of Splatterbugz heading out today. Until we meet again...have a safe trip and Splatter the world beautiful!!!
What have I done over the past 57 days? 10 animal collage paintings, 5 Chrysalis heads, completed 4 Chrysalis and mailed out 4, completed 50+ SplatterBugz, began 11 breast cancer collage paintings, completed an acrylic painting of 3 cats for my contest winner, completed a mural in someone's home, Zentangled and worked on my greeting card line, completed a collage painting for a friend who lost her mother, entered two art competitions, completed a watercolor of a student of mine, set up my new website, painted paper and canvas for future collages, designed another mural that's soon to be done and am currently working on a watercolor for a coworker that will probably be completed today. This in addition to handling the needs and entertainment of my two teens, household and husband. I think I've been pretty productive although I wish I'd accomplished more...I feel good about my summer.
I'm going to commit to continue to create artwork weekly and post as time permits...I don't want to mess up my flow. As an artist, I understand the importance of creating daily to perfect my skills and keep me in tune with myself...I feel refreshed.
This is the last painting of "57 Days...". It's still a work in progress. I'll post the completed painting later.
Going pretty good..like how it's looking so far!!!One day left before returning to work and looking forward to a terrific 2012-2013 school year.
The portrait is slowly evolving....gotta adjust some proportions but it's looking pretty good. Stay tuned!
What have I been working on and haven't posted: 2 new Chrysalis heads, SplatterBugZ, my greeting card line, a mural design and this last watercolor before my 57 days are over.
This is a family portrait for a wonderful lady in my life. I'm truly blessed to know her..she's a sweetie. Stay tuned for the finished product.

Do you have a special friend or acquaintance that helped you to see and understand your purpose in this world? If so, that person is a SplatterBug! They have splattered your life with..."Purpose".
Send them a custom made SplatterBug today to show them how much you appreciate what they've splattered into your life.
SplatterBugz are about to take flight....this week! Do you know a SplatterBug?
What is a Splatterbug? Who is a SplatterBug?
A SplatterBug is someone who has an unforgettable impact on the life of others. They have Splattered someone else's life with their 'wonderfulness' and have left an indelible impression on the world. SplatterBugz were created to celebrate such a person.
Splatterbugz are hand crafted, wearable sculptures. They are approximately 3.5 inches long, 1.25 inches wide with a 2.5 inch wing span and 3/8 inch thick. These miniature sculptures are hand formed from air dry clay, embossed, and painted with great attention to detail and craftsmanship. The body shape is a combination of the female figure and a butterfly chrysalis which symbolize fertility, growth and transformation. They are available as brooches, magnets and necklaces. They are versatile and can be easily customized to represent any hobby, occupation, holiday, scripture/quote, zodiac sign, group affiliation, sport, animal or cause... whatever is important to your SplatterBug! Photos can even be added. They are accompanied by the SplatterBugz story, a color symbolism chart and a card for the giver to explain why they consider the recipient to be a SplatterBug.
They are a great gift for that someone special whose presence in your life has made a life-changing impact on your existence.
Just finished the cutest mural for a wonderful family's new edition. My camera was having difficulties getting good shots because of the lighting but trust me...it's really cute! On to the next....
I haven't anything to post right now but have been working diligently, daily, on my card project and planning for some upcoming murals.
